# What should I know before attending an event?

## Before you go

- Check the event page for the venue and start time. Arrive on time. If you are late, you may miss round 1.
- Bring your deck, and make sure it follows the format's rules.
- If the event needs a decklist, submit it on the event page before the event starts.
- If you still need to pay your entry fee at the store, pay at the counter when you check in.

## Pairings

Events use Swiss or Round Robin pairings. In Swiss, each round you play someone with the same or a similar record. In Round Robin, you play every other player once. Ask staff which one your event uses.
