# How does store credit work?

Store credit is money in your Green Gate account that you can spend on our online store.

## Ways to earn it

**Order rebates.** Qualifying orders earn store credit back, based on your tier. See [How do store credit rebates work?](https://help.greengatehobbies.com/en/article/how-do-store-credit-rebates-work-1j66g9z/)

**Selling to our buylist.** Choose store credit as your payout and get 20% more on non-bulk items. A P1,000 offer with no bulk cards becomes P1,200. See [How much will I get paid for my cards?](https://help.greengatehobbies.com/en/article/how-much-will-i-get-paid-for-my-cards-16opaug/)

**Events.** Some paid events earn a flat P50 in store credit.

## Using it

Log in to your account before you check out. Your balance then shows as a way to pay, and you can pay the rest of the order with another method.

Orders paid in part or in full with store credit earn no rebate. They still count toward your tier.

## Checking your balance

Your [account page](https://greengatehobbies.com/account) shows your balance. Your [store credit history](https://greengatehobbies.com/account/store_credit) lists every credit and when it expires. Rebates expire 1 year after we add them.
